Your Submission must be in the English language or have English language subtitles. Your Submission must not contain any material which, in the sole opinion of The Screaming Ant, is pornographic or obscene. You must not place or purport to place any geographical limitations on The Screaming Ant's exhibition of Your Submission. There is no limit to the number of Submissions you can make to the Festival or in any particular Category, however, each Submission may only be entered in a single Category.
We reserve the right at our discretion to extend the submission period and any such extension shall be specified on the Screaming Ant website.

Eligibility
You must not be an employee of The Screaming Ant or any other person or entity connected with the creation and administration
of the contest, or in any such person's immediate family. If The Screaming Ant decides that a Submission does not meet the Eligibility Criteria for the Category in which You have attempted to enter it, The Screaming Ant may in its sole discretion enter the Submission into a different Category in which that Submission does meet the Eligibility Criteria.

Contributor Release
You represent, warrant and undertake that You have obtained Contributor Release Forms from everybody who appears recognizably in, or makes a noticeable contribution to, Your Submission and you agree to provide such Contributor Release Forms to The Screaming Ant upon The Screaming Ant's request. If You fail to provide any Contributor Release Form(s) promptly following The Screaming Ant's request, we reserve the right to disqualify your Submission. 
If you are submitting to the music video category, you must be able to provide written consent from the artist (or artist's label) if requested by The Screaming Ant.

Finalists
Five films from each category (a total of twenty-five films) will be accepted by the contest as Screaming Ant Online Film Contest Finalists ('finalists') and screened on our website. The finalists will be determined by The Screaming Ant, in it's sole discretion. The finalists will be notified by the Screaming Ant via email, approximately one week prior to the start of the screening period.

Screening Period
The screening period shall commence on November 1st, 2011 and will run throughout the month of November. We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change the commencement date of the screening period. If such a change is set to take place, you will be notified by email.

Awards
The twenty-five finalists will be reviewed by the Screaming Ant Online Film Contest Jurors (the 'jurors'). The jurors will select the winners of the awards listed below from this shortlist. The Screaming Ant Online Film Contest Jurors are a selection of film industry professionals.
                                                              
Featured Filmmaker
One film from each of the five categories will be awarded a "Featured Filmmaker" Award. The winner of this award will be determined by The Screaming Ant's jurors. The award's recipient will be presented with an official certificate. The film's director will be interviewed and photographed (or asked to provide a photograph) for our website. The recipients of the "Featured Filmmaker" award will be automatically entered to compete for the "Best of Contest" award.

Best of Contest
The Best of Contest award is presented to one of the five "Featured Filmmaker" recipients. The recipient will be decided by the Jurors. The recipient will receive a cash prize of $500.

Use of Content  By submitting your film to us, you are allowing The Screaming Ant (a)  to promote Your Submission and make it available for viewing in an area of the website dedicated to the Contest during the Screening Period; and for 2 years thereafter. (b) to use film stills and other images from your submission on our website, and on other press materials, including print materials, in the promotion of the Screaming Ant and the Screaming Ant contest.

Publicity You agree that Your name, image, likeness, voice and statements may be published throughout the world in any medium now known or in the future devised in connection with Your participation in the Contest and/or in the exercise of the advertising, publicity and marketing rights granted to the Screaming Ant pursuant to these Terms and Conditions.
